Sunrise, Sunset

Is this the little girl I carried?
Is this the little boy at play?

I don't remember growing older
When did they?

When did she get to be a beauty?
When did he get to be so tall?

Wasn't it yesterday
When they were small?

Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly flow the days
Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers
Blossoming even as we gaze

Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laden with happiness and tears

What words of wisdom can I give them?
How can I help to ease their way?

Now they must learn from one another
Day by day

They look so natural together

Just like two newlyweds should be.

(From Fiddler on the Roof)

In just a few days now, Critter will change her name. Really, I have no idea where the time went. I hope to be back after the big event with some pictures!

My mother wanted to walk into my wedding to that song. She played it over and over every day so she wouldn't cry. I don't think she did, she probably hated the song by the wedding day!

Congratulations to your little girl and her man!

I am thinking about and praying for all of you as the wedding date nears. It is such a wonderful but stressful time. Try to enjoy every minute of it. Make lots of memories. Blessings sent your way. Charlene

When I was little wanted my Dad to sing that at my wedding. But by the time I got married Dad and I both knew that was a bit too much for him and me so it we had it played on the harp. Weddings are such fun, special, emotional crazy times! Have so much fun and take lots of pictures!
